Wild with Wilde

People came from afar to experience Kim Wilde at Naestved Hallen.

Around 1200 people had a terrific Saturday evening in Naestved Hall where the English pop singer Kim Wilde gave a concert.

The Danish duo Sko/Torp, which consists of singer Søren Sko and guitar ice Palle Torp and is probably best known for their classic “On A Long Lonely Night”, were the perfect warm-up for tonight’s headliner, who went on stage at exactly 9pm.

75 minute performance

Kim Wilde was ready, together with her band, right from the first song “Chequered Love”, and the same was an enthusiastic audience, some of whom had taken the trip from Germany, Holland, Sweden and Norway.
54-year-old Kim Wilde got a nearly wholly filled hall to sing with on hits like “View From A Bridge” and “Cambodia”. Later followed both an Erasure song and Alice Cooper’s “Poison” while the audience was treated to an encore, which was Kim Wilde’s breakthrough single from 1981 “Kids in America”, before the English singer left the stage after 75 minutes of music.

Superfan from Vordingborg

Kim Wilde thought it was a great pleasure to play again in Denmark for a great audience, and she would love to come back again.
Before the concert Kim Wilde had a happy reunion with Anders Storm, a super-hardcore fan from Vordingborg, who has her face tattooed on his arm. He has met her for several concerts abroad, and he has had a visits by Kim Wilde at home in Vordingborg, when she was giving a concert in Denmark a few years ago.
Hans Snestrup, President of NIF Concerts, who had arranged the concert was also a happy man.

Susi & Leo for Oktoberfest

“We have shown that we as NIF can successfully give people a great musical experience and a we also can obtain an international audience to Naestved. I spoke with four fans who had taken the long trip from Norway to Naestved”, said Hans Snestrup, who couldn’t exactly say how many people had bought a ticket for thec oncert. But there are profits for the club box.

Later this year NIF concerts follows up with other seasoned foreign names like Susi Quatro and The Sweet, while Danish Susi & Leo pops up at the Oktoberfest.
